Beeswax Wrap Refresh Block

Wax block for refreshing wax food wraps.  Ethically sourced beeswax.

Did you know that you can refresh your beeswax wraps? Sometimes they can get quite creased and the wax can get thin at those points. Refresh them with beeswax blocks and they are good as new!

Before reaching for a wax block, first thing try to re-distribute the wax already on the wrap.

To do this, get yourself some baking paper or a silicone baking sheet. Put it onto a baking tray, then place your wrap that's needing some TLC on top.

Put into the oven at 50 degrees C to allow the wax to melt and fill in the gaps. You can use a pastry brush to spread the wax around if needs be.

How to use a Beeswax Wrap Refresh Block

If the wax on your wrap has got just too thin, then set-up the wrap as above (on baking paper and oven tray). Then finely grate some wax from the beeswax refresh block directly onto the wrap. Melt as before and use the pastry brush to spread the wax across the wrap.

Other uses for a Beeswax Wrap Refresh Block

We also find lots of Beaders, people who enjoy making jewellery with beads, use these blocks for adding wax to their thread making it easier to use with beads.
