The oil can be be used with care as a sanitiser, and is a common component of eco-cleaning products. It is also used as an insect repellent and added to recipes for natural deodorant.

You can even create your own natural all-purpose cleaner by adding Tea Tree Oil to a mix of vinegar and water.
