These cute baby shoes are made from Denim jeans which are no longer fit to wear.

Made by local Nottingham maker Martha Speed.

What a great way to reuse and repurpose fabrics! Unwearable fabric and clothing ‘rags’ can be recycled into insulation and mattress wadding etc. Not so unwanted Denim clothing. As a result of the metal rivets and zips, unwearable Denim is hard to recycle. This fact drives Martha to find new uses for vintage Denim so she designing and making homewares and accessories.
