National to local campaigns – why they’re important with Greenpeace Notts
8 March @ 10:00 am - 10:45 am
Find out how you can get active and link with national environmental campaigning at our local level.
I once read somewhere that one of the best ways we can support the move for environmental change is to invest our time and resources in national NGOs who can influence at government and corporation level where often we can not.
So, hear about the best of both these worlds and how Greenpeace bring their national campaigns and research to local groups such as wonderful one in Nottingham who are supporting this day of learning.
The talk is part of the free ‘Lessons in Eco-living’ event organised by Shop Zero in collaboration with Greenpeace Nottingham to celebrate our first Birthday. The aim of the day is to get people thinking and ready to take practical steps to reduce our environmental impact. Other talks include Electric Vehcles- what you need to know, Reusable Nappies, and Starting your own Repair Cafe. Check out our EventBrite /and Facebook pages to book free tickets to these talks.
The event is ticketed (due to rrom size) and any profits from donations will go to Greenpeace Nottingham.
The event will be held in the Workshop Room at the Malt Cross which adjoins Shop Zero. The Malt Cross is a beautiful heritage Music Hall which is 2 minutes from Nottingham’s Market Square and central to the city centre tram and bus stops. The room is fully wheelchair accessible and if you have any access issues, let us know as we’d like to help.
