Door 2 Door
During the Covid 19 crisis, we are running a Door 2 Door delivery service. Deliveries are currently made twice a week to NG1, NG2, NG3, NG5 and NG7 postcodes. The cost is £2.95 with a minimum order of £15. We’ll slot you into a delivery run when there is space. Look out for an email from email@example.com about when to expect your delivery. We generally deliver twice a week, on Monday and Thursday evenings after 5.30pm. If you live in a flat or apartment block, please make arrangements to collect your parcel from the door or reception area. Unfortunately we can not come into the building.
Postal Delivery: We currently post orders out to addresses in the UK by 2nd Class Royal Mail. There is a flat rate cost of £3.95 for a minimum order of £15.
Postal Despatch: Is within 2-3 working days depending on when we receive you order and when the shop is open to pack your order. So orders will usually arrive in the next 2-4 days after posting, depending on delivery patterns. We aim to keep in touch with you via email if there are any variations from this.
Packaging materials: In line with our sustainable ethos – we will use and reuse recyclable packaging wherever possible and package plastic-free. Any tape used is fully home compostable and recyclable. It is made in the UK or EU from Kraft paper and the glue is plant-based. Occasionally, you may find some traditional tape remains on the boxes. For door 2 door deliveries, we are happy take back boxes and bags that we use.
Occasionally items do get lost in the post, and we can re-send or refund your order 15 working days after it was sent as this is when the Royal Mail class it as lost and allow us to claim for the loss.
COVID-19 changes to service – during the pandemic, our shop has limited open hours so we may not be able to post your order on the day that it is placed. We will keep you informed via email about any drastic changes.
We are operating under strict social distancing and hygiene rules. There is only one member of staff working to make up the packages. For postal deliveries, the parcels then delivered to another local business for pick-up by Royal Mail. Strict hand-washing and sanitising guidelines are followed at all times.
When we deliver to your door, we will sanitise our hands before lifting boxes/bags, place then items on the doorstep, knock, then step back so we can make sure that deliveries has been safely received.
We have a sustainable packaging policy, but because of the limited availability of packaging at the present time, we may need to re-use packaging envelopes that we already have. These may contain some plastic. These items are already in existence so will reduce the need for the production of new items and the resources associated with that. Please reuse these yourself; they will have life left in them.
